Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

The Blue Hour

With our stomachs slowly returning to pre-cruise volume, dinner has been light lately.  We were blessed, and if you live in Texas, you know I truly mean blessed, with a bit of rain one afternoon.  It was long gone by the time I left work, but the temperature was magically below 90 degrees when I got home.

I made smoothies--simple--2 bananas, 1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries and 1 cup milk--dinner for two.  We drank them on the back porch because as Sophie put it, "Let's enjoy the post rain." And so we did; a brief respite before the crushing temps predicted this weekend--highs in the 105-108 range.  Just a bit jealous of those getting a taste of Hurricane Irene and dreading my long run tomorrow.
