Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

2011 Cantina Zaccagnini Riserva Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, $10

Cherry and tart on the nose.  Beautiful color.  Dry. Initial taste decently balanced with some complexity and medium body.  After taste somewhat heavy handed  on the tannins.  Allowing to sit an hour mellowed out some of the harshness.

Paired decently with buffalo chicken pizza.

Paired: 1/6 (not recommended*)

Sipped: 1/6 (not recommended*)

*This wine is fairly well rated by others, especially considering price-point.  I suspect it will need some time to mellow, and a decent amount of decanting time.  Perhaps it was cooked during transport.  I also believe this varietal is generally not to my liking.

2012 Chateau Anniche White Bourdeau, $9 (Borvin Beverage), 1st of 3
